Invisalign + Crown Lengthening + 12 Porcelain Veneers | Comprehensive Smile Transformation
Gummy Smile · Invisalign · Porcelain Veneers
Patient Goals
The patient wanted to improve a gummy smile and short, square tooth proportions to create a broader, more balanced smile. Our goal was to improve the relationship between the teeth, gums, and overall smile while establishing a healthy, stable foundation for porcelain restorations.
Treatment Details
This smile transformation required three carefully coordinated phases to create a broader, more youthful smile with natural tooth proportions.
Phase 1: Invisalign
We began with Invisalign to broaden the arches and establish ideal tooth positioning, creating the foundation for more conservative restorative treatment.
Phase 2: Hard Tissue Crown Lengthening
A periodontist performed hard tissue crown lengthening to reshape the gingival contours and underlying bone, revealing more natural tooth structure and correcting the short, square appearance of the teeth. We allowed the tissues to fully mature before beginning the restorative phase.
Phase 3: 12 Minimal-Prep Feldspathic Porcelain Veneers
We completed the transformation with 12 minimal-preparation feldspathic porcelain veneers. Feldspathic porcelain allows for delicate layering, natural translucency, and lifelike optical characteristics that closely mimic natural enamel.
The goal wasn’t simply to make the teeth longer or whiter. It was to create softer, more youthful tooth shapes, balanced proportions, and a fuller smile while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible.
The result: A broader, youthful, natural-looking smile with improved gingival symmetry, harmonious tooth proportions, and a healthy foundation for long-term stability.
