Enhancing Natural Character | Composite Bonding on Four Teeth

Composite Bonding

Patient Goals

This patient wanted to improve the shape and proportions of her four front teeth while maintaining the natural character of her smile. She liked the softer, rounded edges of her teeth and wanted to keep that feminine appearance rather than have a perfectly straight, squared-off smile.

Treatment Details

We completed composite bonding on her four upper front teeth to correct differences in tooth shape, length, and proportions.

One of the things we were intentional about in this case was preserving the character of her existing teeth. Rather than making the incisal edges perfectly straight or giving every tooth the same shape, we maintained the gentle curves and rounded contours that contributed to the softer, more feminine appearance of her smile.

We also focused on the relationship between the central and lateral incisors, making adjustments to improve symmetry while maintaining the natural differences between these teeth.

Composite bonding allowed us to add material selectively, refining the shape of each tooth without completely changing her smile.

The result is a more balanced smile that still has the softness and individuality of her natural teeth.
