Composite Bonding | Refining Chipped and Uneven Edges

Composite Bonding

Patient Goals

This patient was happy with the overall color and alignment of her teeth but wanted to improve minor imperfections along the incisal edges. The goal was to create smoother, more balanced tooth contours without unnecessarily removing healthy tooth structure.

Treatment Details

Not every smile enhancement requires porcelain veneers or orthodontics.

This patient was an ideal candidate for conservative composite bonding because her teeth were already well-aligned, she was happy with their brightness, and her concerns were limited to small imperfections along the edges.

Using tooth-colored composite resin, we refined the incisal contours to improve symmetry, shape, and overall harmony while preserving the underlying tooth structure.

Composite bonding is a minimally invasive option for patients looking to address small chips, uneven edges, or subtle differences in tooth shape.

The result: A refreshed, more balanced smile achieved through targeted improvements rather than a complete smile makeover.

Composite bonding requires ongoing maintenance and may need polishing, repair, or replacement over time. Longevity depends on factors such as bite forces, habits, and home care.
